DANIIL POV

The room was filled with tension. Unspoken words hanging in the air. Alexei fingers moved with precision over the keyboard. We were all thinking the same thing. But no one wanted to get their hopes high. It wasnt the first time such had happened.

"I found something" Alexei said his hands never slowing down. He's been on the laptop for hours trying to salvage the only clue that could help us find her.

We all move to stand behind him as he zoomed in on a footage. It looked a bit grainy. But even if i were partially blind i would still recongnise that face from anywhere. It was like looking at the female replica of Leonid.

"This footage was two days ago. It says here. Nothingham, Uk. Time reads 6:30pm. Let's see if i can get the video from a different angle."

He pressed on key the footage pop up from a different angle. She came out a diner. Blue beanie, black shirt paired with white pants. Smiling at everyone that walked by. The hope that had been extinguished from years of chasing dead ends. Had finally been rekindled. It burned low but fierce and unrelenting. Scaning the room i knew i wasnt the only who felt it. And God have mercy on any one who'll try to stand in our way because we won't be forgiving.

The eight hours flight was so excruciating. Every hour felt like days. So endless and agonizing. Which was why i was grateful when we finally landed.

Guards flanked Everywhere. Five SUV's were already parked in front waiting for command.

("Have the men search through every corner of the city. Even if you have to turn the city upside down i don't care. But know this. If you ever think of coming back empty handed. Well it would be better if you took your own life. Cause i would drag your death until you beg for it. But even then i won't kill you") Leonid cold voice thundered.

"Da, don" they all chorused and with the speed of lightning they all entered their cars driving off.

Two hours later and we were all in the hotel room.

Alexei was still on his keyboard. It was the first thing he took out since we came to the hotel. And his been on it ever since.

Aleksandr was sitting on the plush arm chair. His legs bouncing anxiously. Biting his fingernails that was barely even there. A nasty habit Vadim always scolded him for. The said person was fussing over Alexei trying to cajole him into taking a break.

While i was a mess. Pacing up and down the room not knowing what to make of myself.

Across the room sat Leonid, Close to fire place an untouched glass of whiskey in his hand. Calm, collected. He looked the least stressed out of us all. But on closer inspection you could see the storm brewing in his eyes.

A shrill sound tore through the tense atmosphere. Leonid picked up his phone. He didnt say anything for some minutes. Then calmly. "And you're sure about this. Because so help me God if i find out you're lying" He ended the call.

"They found the diner were she works . Said they saw her walking home. Alone." His eyes darken with anger.

Vadim glanced at his million dollar watch. "At this time of the night"

"Guys" Alexei voice sounded. "I found where she lives. And well let's say it's not the safest place in town. From the looks of it, seems like she lives alone"

"The hell. Isn't she just 14" Alek said his anxiousness forgotten, now taken over by anger and frustration.

"We don't have time to waste let's go find her" I did not wait to see who followed me. The one thing on my mind was to find my little sister and take her home.

"Don't take another step Daniil" I freeze upon hearing Leonid's command.

"Do you even have a plan in mind"

"What do you expect me to do huh! Sit down and tweedle my thumbs or have a drink while my sister is out there all alone! Is what you want me to do" I flared glaring daggers at Leonid.

"Daniil Elijah Mikhailovich. Know who you're talking to. Cause i won't tolerate such disrespect next time. Are we clear" Outwardly his cold expression didn't change but his my brother I've known him for years and i know that if it to be anybody else outside family would never live to tell the tale.

"Am sorry i just wanna find her"

Vadim ever the peacemaker placed his hands on my shoulders. " I know you miss her badly but that doesn't give you the right to speak to your elder brother that way. Now here's what's gonna happen. You, Alexei and alek are gonna go to her apartment with Igor while me and Leo are gonna check the diner she works in. Now let's get going".
